At first glance, this just looks like a normal (but really cute) couples session, right? WRONG! Dave reached out to me a couple months ago and told me about his plan to proposal to his girlfriend, Makalea. Dave told her that he was setting up a couple’s session for them since they’ve never done professional photos done before. I’ve photographed a lot of proposals before, but none during the middle of a session. Instantly I started thinking of fun ideas and how to set up the surprise.

We started the session normally and frolicked around the beach for about 15 minutes until we got to the beautiful arches. Dave and I had a que so that he knew when it was the perfect time to pop the question! I had their backs turned to each other and that’s when Dave went down on one knee and waited for his soon-to-be fiance to turn around and say yes to forever! BEST DAY EVER!
