If I could describe the perfect intimate wedding scenario, it would be Angelica & Antonio’s wedding day. These two, plus their loved ones, drove from Arizona (where they live) all the way to Los Angeles, California to get married in the sunshine on the beach. Santa Monica has been a vacation spot for their family, so they decided to have their wedding ceremony there.

I loved this day so much because it was so simple, yet so beautiful. They decided to do a DIY wedding with a small group of people on the sand next to Santa Monica Pier. It was such a clear day with the mountains popping up behind the pier.

After they said their vows, we had the most perfect bride and groom portrait session. We had a full hour together leading up to the most beautiful sunset! Angelica had a 2nd dress to change into, so she said screw it and ran through the water as the sun disappeared.

Afterwards, we drove to an Airbnb that they rented in Venice Beach. This was such a cool and unique airbnb! It was two large houses with an opening in the middle. They had their friends and family stay in the house, and used the opening in the middle to have their reception. They drank tequila, ate tacos, and danced the night away. Now do you see why I said this was the perfect wedding scenario? 🙂
