When picking a coastal spot for your elopement, what better place than ON the water?! I got so excited when these two wanted to say their vows on a sailboat cruising around Newport harbor.

We started the afternoon at Heisler Park, a hidden gem in Laguna Beach with my favorite ocean views. They helped each other with the finishing touches of their outfits, Denei helping Brandon into his coat and helping with tie and Brandon tieing her scarf.

We hopped in the car and picked up a box from Laventina’s Pizza, a Newport Beach staple, and made our way to the harbor.

We hopped aboard a sailboat courtsey of “The Boat People”, just as the wind decided to show up with some serious energy. Let’s just say we all had to hold on tight! But honestly? It only added to the fun. Between gusts of wind and ocean spray, they held each other close & laughed through the chaos.

As the sun dipped toward the horizon, they stood on the deck, hands clasped, and exchanged vows. The wind howled, the boat rocked, and yet we made the most of it.

After rings were exchanged and a few happy tears were wiped away, we toasted with pizza and let the boat carry us into the night.
