Dana Point Harbor Intimate Wedding

My first wedding of 2020 took place in my hometown in Dana Point, California. As much as I love destination and adventurous weddings, I equally love weddings that are less than 5 minutes from my house. I woke up, had coffee with my family, went on a hike that overlooked the harbor (where they were having the wedding!), and then headed down to begin shooting.

When I arrived, I instantly knew that this was going to be a stress free and fun day. The bride and groom were so easy going about everything and trusted me to capture their day exactly how it unfolded. They had their ceremony on the top floor of Waterman’s, which is an amazing seafood restaurant that looks over the water. Wayne, the groom, put together the arch himself, and they were surrounded by about 40 of their closest family and friends.

They had their dog-watcher meet us down by the ocean for some photos with their fur babies, and then we were greeted by the most INCREDIBLE sunset. This was such a memorable way to start the wedding season, and I’m so glad I got to spend it with Nikkii & Wayne.
